Some bad news before Euro 2008

Fabio Coltorti and Blaise Nkufo have been ruled out of the Switzerland team before Euro 2008.

The latter tore his adductors following his team’s Twente stunning triumph over Ajax in an Eredivisie Champions’ League playoff (he scored the two Twente goals in the first match) and won’t be fit before Euro 2008. Nkufo, having scored over 20 goals in the Netherlands, yet having failed to convince in the Switzerland friendlies, might be a big loss. Kuhn now might have to call upon Lustrinelli.

The Racing Santander goalkeeper, Fabio Coltorti, Switzerland’s third goalkeeper has a viral infection. Consequently Kuhn might call upon Eldin Jakupovic, the Grasshoppers goalkeeper.
However Coltorti’s absence isn’t a particularly heavy one.
