Blatter criticizes Kuhn
Contrasting opinions are the ones expressed by FIFA President Sepp Blatter and the Swiss Football Federation President Ralph Zloczower.
The FIFA President believes that Switzerland lacked the class, “Frei’s injury changed everything, but there wasn’t a great idea behind some changes.”
Jolly old Sepp wonders why Kuhn didn’t insist with Streller (what? the man was injured?) and didn’t call Eggimann (Senderos and Muller did splendidly!): “Kuhn wanted to thank the ones who were with him from the start without considering those who play regularly in their club. Loyalty works with the junior players but not at this level.”
He also believes that the FIFA Standings explains why Switzerland only obtained 3 points and states that Kuhn shouldn’t have coached Switzerland at this tournament, according to him the Swiss Football Federation President couldn’t do much about it.

Please tell me he is one of the few Swiss supporters that feels that way. Lacked the class? The Swiss players looked good all tournament. A lot of people agree that Switzerland was unlucky this Euro with the late Czech Republic goal, Frei’s injury, and the Turkey come back (who by the way has had two comebacks!). Well most people don’t take Blatter seriously anyway.

Well I’ve read some comments on forums and Swiss websites and not everyone was behind Kuhn but I think it’s fair enough that he completed his career in such a special event. People are good at criticising when you lose, but had Switzerland qualified for the quarter-finals what would people have said?
I don’t take Blatter seriously in any case
