Swiss draw Italy

Johan Djorou
Swiss preparations for the World Cup are well under way. Yesterday’s game in Geneva against Italy showed a better performance of the Swiss team than last Saturday’s against Ivory Coast. In the 10th minute Gilardino scored a goal after a terrible mistake by defense player Philipp Degen. Daniel Gygax made up for it and scored a beautiful long-distance goal in the 32nd minute. Especially in the first half, Switzerland was playing well and put Italy under pressure. Team captain and central midfielder Johan Vogel played a strong game. Johan Djorou was kind of the discovery of the game. The young defense player from Arsenal London played only his second game in the national dress, but in what a superb style! Will he be playing alongside Senderos to make up the central defense? All in all it was a good test game for the Swiss. Let us remember how the Italian team recently trashed Germany 4:1. Confidence is certainly strong, but the big question remains, when will the Swiss beat one of the big European teams again? Will it be against France?

hmm i thouhg italy played bad .. even though there intention was not to win but to experiment .. i think the swiss have a good team. If italy decideds to play they can kill teams like swizerland as they did to germany and holland, but if they play like that .. well i hope they lose then
