Senderos – Player of the year

Yesterday at the “Night of Swiss Football” in Berne Philippe Senderos was voted best player of the year. Fans all over Switzerland were invited to vote. After his strong performances for the National Team and for Arsenal, this does not come as a big surprise. But considering Phillipe’s relatively short international career, it is quite amazing what the player achieved since early 2005, when Sol Campbell fell injured and Wenger called on the youngster from Geneva to fill in.
