Mueller Moves to Olympique Lyon

Swiss international defender Patrick Mueller has agreed to a deal to rejoin French champion Olympique Lyon. Mueller played for Lyon from 2000-04 before moving to Basel this year.

Mueller, who played in every qualifying match for Switzerland, should bring much needed defensive help to a Lyon side whose backline has been hit hard by injuries.

Just as important, the move should give the official Patrick Mueller website something to celebrate.

Supporter of Lyon, I’m very happy to see Patrick Muller back in our team as any one at the club. All the players were pleased to see him back, he was very mutch appreciated in the dressing room. Since then he played two games and his partnership with Cris work very well.
And our crisis with defenders carry on with the new injury of Monsoreau, we’ve got only 3 defenders fit to play !
