Hitzfeld and injuries

It’s official!
Ottmar Hitzfeld will be the new Swiss coach starting from the 1st of July 2008 with a two-year contract (thus pertaining to World Cup 2010)! He will have to pick up Kuhn’s heritage and hopefully be the coach of a European Champion!

On Monday there will be a press conference in Zurich to present the new coach (twice winner of the Champions’ League)!

Bad news on the horizon
Margairaz and Esteban out of Euro 2008! Margairaz got injured while playing for his club Osasuna and this is certainly a heavy loss for Switzerland. He will be away from the pitches for several months and thus will miss out of his country’s biggest sports event.
