Group Prediction
A lot of folks probably have France winning this whole shebang, but least us to forget how many goals France scored in the last world cup(zero). Whisper: I think thats why Fifa stopped allowing the previous holders from getting auto entry into the cup.
Group G Final Standings.
———————
France 2-1-0, 7 points
Switzerland 2-1-0, 7 points
Korea 1-0-2, 3 points
Togo 0-0-3, 0 points
France win on more Goals scored.
W-D-L
What matters for Switzerland? They need at least a draw against France and they pulled that off twice for qualification and they should easily beat Togo as Togo isn’t doing much in the CAF. I think the most important game for Switzerland would be against Korea and I am not basing that off how well Korea played in the last world cup.
Korea in my opinion is a very underated team. They have top players all over Europe and their domestic league is of a very high calibre of such a small nation(I have a friend that is a scout and he thinks its a lot better than the MLS). I dont think they are as good as Switzerland but in this game you can only play 14 players. If somehow, someway that the Swiss beat France it wont be that important of a match, but if they lose I cant think of a more interesting game in the whole group. I also have to admit that I want a nation from Asia or Africa to win the cup. And Korea is a team with a lot of heart and skill.

Two times a draw in qualifications, now the Swiss team deserves a win against France. Not that I think they can actually make it, but it would be awfully nice.

I think the Swiss will finish third, losing to both France and Korea while beating Togo.

I don’t think it’s really hard to have a better league than the MLS, when you see than the FC Basel, who is arguably the best team by far got, trash by RC Strasbourg in the UEFA Cup.
That doesn’t mean either than you can rate highly South Korea. They will not play at home this time and get the advantage of playing in front of their fans, without Gus Hiddinks as manager, and not the least, they will not get any favors from the referees(scandalous decisions against both Italy and Spain).
So my pronostic would go for France and Switzerland to go through.
